A Must-Read!

This book was pure perfection & one of my strongest 5 star reads this year. I went in knowing very little of the premise and the experience was unparalleled. It drew me in from the first page and kept me glued till the last.

At its heart, The Unseen World explores a father-daughter relationship. David Sibelius is a brilliant, eccentric computer scientist and his daughter Ada is the key character we follow through the story. Ada is homeschooled initially, she’s smart, socially awkward, innocent yet mature, and within the first few pages, I fell in love with her character. Very early on in the story, you get to know that David’s memory is deteriorating. There are aspects of his life that are unknown to Ada which he wants her to know eventually. He gives her complicated code to crack which would ultimately reveal all that he hoped to tell her. I feel that’s all you should know of the story before going in and the rest is to read and experience yourself.

Liz Moore captures the tenderness of human experience, emotion and relationships with incredible deftness and honesty. There’s such a relatable comfort and ingenuity in her characters that they become real. Ada, David, Liston, Gregory, are some of the best fleshed and most memorable characters I have ever come across in fiction.

It’s a story that will stay with me for a very, very long time. I also feel, this book would appeal to everyone, irrespective of your reading taste. Please go read it, it’s completely worth the hype.
